Imagine
walking quietly through a field while your dog is sniffing and searching
for a certain scent followed by a few seconds of explosive excitement
of a flushed pheasant. These
birds offer one of the most pleasurable outdoor sporting experiences in wing
shooting. The ring neck's beautiful distinct coloring and the sound of pounding flight when flushed will provide you an obvious but challenging target. Quick decisions and reflexes with accurate aim are the key essentials to a successful hunt. Nothing else raises the adrenaline quite like the rush for the quick and elusive activity of a flushed pheasant. Tower ShootsMinimum 20 Shooters with 10 Pheasants released per shooter. Private shoots may be arranged and customized to fit your needs for groups of 20 to 40 shooters. Pheasant hunts are available October through March. Hunters are stationed in 20 blinds in a large circle around the tower with 1 or 2 hunters per blind. As the birds are released from the 30' tower, we will all be in for some high-flying excitement! After 20-30 birds are released individually, all action will stop and hunters will move up 2 blinds to the right. This will continue throughout the shoot so everyone will have an opportunity to shoot from different positions on the field. Use a modified or full choke and #6 or #7.5 high brass shot. Bring plenty of shells as there will be a lot of action. At the end of the shoot, all the birds will be divided equally among the hunters present. Your birds will be cleaned and packaged while your having lunch. Additional birds can be released with prior notice. Private hunts can be scheduled for a fixed priced. With early deposit payment, you will be assured of a place on the field. Breakfast snacks starting at 7:30 and lunch after the hunt are included. Put together a group or join one of ours.
